Emotional Regulation In Newcomers

reachAbility is proud to offer ERIN: Emotional Regulation In Newcomers, a program designed to support newcomers to Canada who identify as persons with disabilities.

Over the last few years, reachAbility has seen a significant increase in clients navigating the intersecting challenges of settling in a new country while also facing disability-related barriers. These experiences can be demoralizing and frustrating, and ERIN was created to help clients build the tools they need to move through challenges calmly and confidently.

The ERIN program focuses on strengthening emotional regulation, resilience, and self-advocacy. Through supportive, practical learning, participants explore strategies for managing stress, responding to setbacks, and building confidence as they work toward their personal goals.

This program is made possible with the generous support of Nova Scotia Power. As ERIN continues to grow, reachAbility welcomes opportunities to collaborate with community partners who share our commitment to inclusion and empowerment.
