We all love and need success stories—and I’d like to share a few from reachAbility clients who secured meaningful employment this past month.
One client was hired by Remember When Healthcare as a Caregiver. This organization provides home care and companionship that supports social and emotional well-being. The role was a perfect fit for our client, aligning with both her experience and qualifications.
Another client expressed a strong interest in working at a fishing and sporting shop, since these are hobbies they enjoy. I connected with the manager at Bass Pro Shops, who quickly recognized how our client’s knowledge and passion could help customers and provide outstanding service. They were hired and started working within a week.
We also celebrated the success of a multilingual client who secured an Interpreter position. With fluency in Mandarin, English, French, and Hindi, he is now able to use his language skills to help people connect and communicate effectively.
The Halifax Regional Municipality (HRM) welcomed one of our clients as a Crossing Guard. With a background in caregiving and roles requiring cultural sensitivity and attention to detail, the job duties will be carried out with a strong sense of responsibility, safety awareness, and care for the community.
Beyond these recent hires, employers such as Sobeys, law firms, mechanic shops, and caregiving organizations have all expressed interest in welcoming our clients to their teams.
