Gordon Johnson

Gordon Johnson is reachAbility's Financial Coordinator. He has a Diploma of Technology in Business Administration - Electronic Data Processing, and has completed several courses with the Certified General Accountants Association and the Canadian Bankers Association.

Gordon has worked in various positions in the areas of accounting and electronic data processing, in a variety of business environments, including fifteen years of self-employment. He started at reachAbility through a five-month grant-funded placement. Gordon followed on working at reachAbility through continued contact with Achilles and Tova. For his working future, he hopes to continue with part-time accounting positions in the non-profit sector.

Gordon experienced health problems whereby after thirteen years, he had to give up his own accounting practice. Through his connection, placement, and employment with reachAbility, Gordon was able to return to work, and he and his family moved down to Halifax.
